The larger problem is people getting pics of her friends and stuff off of myspace and posting them here.

As far as people having a problem with me cooperating with authorities if the site gets reported, deal with it. I host this site for you guys and have never asked for a donation or put up any ads. I don't have the time to go to bat and cause problems for myself trying to protect people that really don't need protecting. If you stir the shit pot, you're eventually going to get shit on.

Why would that get trouble from the authorities, and the fact Amanda was actually harrased (via phone) at her house/work from here NOT be? The latter is far worse than the former.

Just because I'm not currently paying for bandwidth doesn't mean that the site is free. Before I switched to this server, I had spent about $500 in hosting costs and I've spent about $200 on forum licensing for the initial license and subsequent support contracts for updates.

As far as the "integrity" of the forum, this forum has none. I don't like to see peoples personal lives dragged in to the forum, and any time I see that I will stop it if I can. I'm sure some people will jump on me saying they had so and so posted and it wasn't deleted, but you have to report it to me. I don't read every thread, and if I don't see it I can't do anything about it. Pretty much every instance of somebody reporting personal information to me has resulted in it getting immediately deleted.

Is lemurs an attention whore? Absolutely. Is she totally innocent? Definitely not.

After I posted in this thread yesterday, she told me she would never post here again. I don't know if she will actually stay gone or not.

For the site getting harassment charges, yes the site can get harassment charges. As little as I want to spend the time to deal with them, you can imagine the little amount of time the bandwidth provider is going to want to spend on it, considering I'm not paying them anything. Chances are they will receive the report and we'll be out of a host and that will be the end of it.

I highly doubt the site will be reported. Obviously, no one wants that.

Harassment is subjective, and in this case I believe that it's being tossed around pretty loosely. I guess if tons of guys from the forum are constantly sending sexual PM's and asking her for pictures, then I can see where she's coming from. However she should remember that this is OA, and the general attention span of the "forum" is quite short. In a few days this subject will be getting about 1% of the attention it's getting now.

As far as the picture (which is definitely legal), it was originally (to the best of my knowledge) posted by the user DepthsAbove. A lot of people believe that may even be Lemurs herself.

I'm sarcastic, purposely over the top when it comes to many of my jokes/less serious posts, and can have a crude sense of humor that's not perceivable by everyone.

Yeah, I do look back at a couple of my actions/posts and find them to be somewhat pathetic. But I'm not embarrassed. Do you know why? Because I have my ego in check, Nigerian. Something as small as this isn't even close to embarrassing for me. Everybody fucks up from time to time. I think that I'm pretty caring and nice compared to the OA standard. I know who I am, and I know what and what not should be embarrassing to me. In the years that I've posted here, I can only think of a couple of things that I was actually embarrassed of. And they're not even embarrassing to me anymore because I'm comfortable with swallowing my pride when need be. If you can see your own faults, accept them, and learn from them, then there's no reason to be embarrassed. I know that I'm way more mature now (in most senses) than when I started posting here.
