I wonder if there is a possibility that there are two Metroids? The Other M and a still unannounced Retro FPA Metroid game. In other words Retro is still working on a Metroid game.

nah, i think Retro had enough of Metroid, while Nintendo and the public had enough of Retro's Metroids.
i'm glad i skipped Prime 2 and 3. i'm pretty eager to play a Metroid now. bring on Other M.
the story should be pretty good:

the story should be pretty good:

Yoshio Sakamoto: What I hope to achieve with Other M is answer those questions -- you know, who is Samus? What is her background? Who are the characters that made her what she is? All these questions and more will be answered. I could tell you a little more about the details of what you might expect, but I don't want to ruin it for you so I'll just leave it at that.

Metroid Prime 3 sold about 2 million units, so how could you say the public has had enough (considering that Prime 3 outsold Prime 2). I personally would like to see two Metroids, one oriented more to Japan's taste (the other M) and another more oriented to western tastes (Metroid Prime). There is no reason why Retro's development of the Metroid franchise should be halted.

Prime 1 was absolutely amazing...2 was okay...3...was...okay.

Prime 1 is the ideal Metroid game.
I'd love to see a Metroid like that on PS4-level hardware. The amount of life, atmosphere, and detail Retro could convey would blow minds.
Too bad it will *NEVER* happen.
Fuck them.

I enjoyed finding all the little things you could read but and i read alot of them but twords the end I remember not really caring anymore. But not having narrative was very true to metroid and super metroid.
We're not playing NES here. Get a real goddamn story and present it in a modern manner.

I'd prefer no fucking story at all. What the hell IS the story in the Metroid games? I have no fucking idea. I'm going to play Other M because hopefully it's a badass Metroid game. I don't care about the story. I can't remember the story from either Prime or Prime 2. Or from Metroid Fusion. All I want is a kick ass Metroid game, and I'm aboard.
