Beat my brother to it :lol I know he would do it as he's prone to outlandish things (this is the guy who PC games on a 52" Samsung HDTV...on his computer desk)

Look, only 699 on Amazon (saw it for like 679 yesterday) http://www.amazon.co...e/dp/B0061YRDX6 Nearly same price as a regular off contract phone, maybe $100 more.

Coming to ATT anyway this spring though. Then it will be less special though...

Only thing I'm wondering is does it work with ATT HSPA+?

The rumors are the ATT versions of note will get downgraded to the qualcomm chipset, so that it will have LTE, just like the SGS2 LTE was. A little disappointing.

Pretty much every user review on Amazon LOVES the Note though. Like literally all the ratings are 5 stars except like 3. One guy did complain about one handed usage though, which worries me.

Also, Galaxy S 3 rumors are starting to fly. Set to be announced at mobile world congress in late February. Some rumors say it will be quad core, but I'm still a little skeptical.

If it's just like the Galaxy Nexus, I'm not even sure I'd be that excited. 4.65" isn't that exciting, especially because I'm not sure how much the ICS buttons reduce usable screen size.

Random Note YT to spice up post

Never really understood why anyone would splash so much cash on an off contract telephone. Contracts usually run two years at most, don't tell me that within those two years your phone already needs replacement..

not if you're a normal person, but if you're kinda obsessed with phones like me and some others...even heard of a few in real life lulz.

My brother always goes off contract and claims it's the way to go, doesn't want to be tied down or whatever. Which is a decent point to some extent.

Nowdays some fancy on contract phones are pushing 300 bucks (F U Verizon), when you can get them on amazon contract and tax free for <600, so the difference is not as monumental as first glance. Course if you're willing to settle for a little less than state of the art and buy on sale you can probably swing free on contract...

I wish the off contract cell phone market was more competitive. It seems to be moving that way a little bit, at least. I saw the LG Thrill which is a decent 4.3" for like 400 some 399 on Amz I think, Galaxy S 1 was 369 I think...pretty reasonable.

Definitely getting the Note, a hybrid tablet/phone is ideal. The size is perfect.

we never have but he's actually probably moving in soon at least for a while lulz

Which I just realized will mean more PS3 access and thus, new trolling opportunities...

But I'm just saying, for this thread, if I informed him of my possible Note plans (which I doubt I'll do anyway) he well might beat me too it, as he needs a new phone soon anyway. I think right now he's too poor anyway though.

There's a couple guys I want to beat by having a better phone, I dont want them to get wind of any plans I may have...lulz. They would one up me just to spite me...but i'll be sneaky...one is going to upgrade to that lowly 4.3" droid razr, and then I'll move in for the kill! Muhahahaha...

well according to rumors, this thing isnt dropping here till late february. 4 months is ridiculous. we're going to start hearing about the galaxy note 2 around that time.

Yeah Samsung has been kinda gay about that shit. Or the USA carriers more likely, making a bunch of changes and demands that take time.

Galaxy S 2 came out in Korea in like...I dont remember but probably spring. Didn't hit here till like September. I'm expecting the same gay shit for GS3.

If note indeed hits late Feb, it works out nicely for my mid-march upgrade. Only question will be whether to wait on GS3, at least I should know all about GS3 to make the decision by then.

Just sucks about the qaulcomm chipset. A decision between a Note with a weakling chipset and ginormous screen, vs a GS3 with a monster chipset and smaller screen, might not be so easy. Fuck, why do these things never work out...

Something about a petty bullshit Apple lawsuit not allowing a mechanical home button on US phones.

played around with the note a bit. damn, much more impressive than the galaxy nexus, hardware wise at least. the sheer screen size is jaw dropping yet it still easily slides into my jean pocket. if it came with t-mo usa's hpsa+ band and was priced below $500 i'd buy one. sucks it only works on att hspa+ but i hear the phone will eventually come to all carriers this year, probably with ICS too, not the current 2.3. glad that the market is receiving the large form factor quite well. samsung was suppose to show a note sized windows phone at ces but that's probably been delayed until WP8 for higher resolution support. nokia will hopefully follow suit.

There has been an additional leak of details regarding HTC’s up and coming 2012 flagship device, named theEndeavor. The handset is starting to shape up to be one of the most powerful devices in existence with sources confirming a Tegra 3 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 4.7″ Super LCD display, Beats Audio, and Sense 4.0 on top of Ice Cream Sandwich. And given HTC’s latest record of unlocking the bootloaders, this could be up for device of the year.

Works great and I love the stylus. Stunning 800P screen. I took pages of notes on it today in a meeting and the minimal lag was never an issue, worked perfectly as far as I am concerned. The photoediting is exactly what I have been dreaming of.

The iphone is loaded on the skeet launcher.

the tegra dual core app store looks like shit now, what do you think their quad core app store will look like? really, what's the use when those cores will probably do nothing but suck battery.

My brother got this today. Only handled it for 30 seconds before I had to leave but indeed, it looked friggen awesome as expected. Basically mind blowing.

Very light too, I think it's fairly pocketable. I do worry it would look kind of stupid in public though, but then again smartphones are growing all the time so before long it'll probably be no big deal.

I'm considering it for sure when my upgrade rolls around in a month. I think I'd be happier with a traditional phone, but there's just nothing quite strike the sweet spot on ATT right now...Skyrocket HD would be a good contender, but isn't due for a while. Regular Skyrocket I think is a little light on some key stats. My biggest regret on my Captivate ended up being the low screen size, 4.0 seemed good at the time but I've really regretted not getting a 4.3 since. This time therefore I'm looking at 4.5 absolute minimum with a preference for 4.7 if possible. Galaxy S 3 would be awesome but probably not out until September...

Not enough 4.7" phones have trickled out yet.
