Now you can do all that, and more!

So here's the lowdown. Go to http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php and download the correct client for your machine. Install it, and make your connection settings look like this:  Picture_1.png   64.78K   6 downloads

Then you should be able to connect. Go in to the setup, and make sure that your microphone is selected, and enable push to talk. You'll want to set the hotkey to something you never use like tilde (the squiggly line under escape).

You can see who is in the chat room from right here on the site. Right under the logo, there is a link that says "Ventrilo Status: # people online". If you click on it, it swings down a little menu that shows who is in there, how long they have been in there, and what their current ventrilo comment is.
