Anyway, Audio Technica M50s are my recommendation to misguided people considering Beats headphones. They're similarly priced or cheaper than Beats and offer audio quality that is leagues ahead of them.

If you're really hung up on bass, check out Beyerdynamic DT770 ($200 make sure you get the 80ohm NOT the 200, those will require a competent amp) or Denon D200 ($300). Sony's XB Series are also fantastic for solid (not boomy shit like Beats) bass. XB500/700/1000 are great for the price ($50-$180). One or more of them might be discontinued in the near future so hurry up.
