In Topic: Galaxy S 3 to be unveiled May 3

I´m looking to see how the Sprint version of the Galaxy S3 turns out. Thus far, Sprint has arguably always offered a superior version of the Galaxy S line of phones. Only time will tell, but the Japanese version of the S3 already has 2GB of RAM, as opposed to the 1GB of RAM that Samsung initially announced. This is obviously a knee jerk reaction to LG announcing their own superphone with 2GB of RAM. I´m not a huge fan of the international version of the Galaxy S3´s design. The same goes for the One X. However, I just came back from Europe and had the chance to see the One X´s screen in person, and it was predictably beautiful. Very Retina esque. This actually says a lot, because the Retina display is easily the (or was) the most accurate and crisp around. Followed by the Super AMOLED Plus.

I love the Galaxy S3, but it must've noted that the US versions are basically confirmed to have the Snapdragon Krait processor, which would put it on a level playing field with the HTC One X. Thanks to the inclusion of LTE, we won't get an Exynos processor here. Sprint has a good relationship with Samsung, so I'm curious to see what Samsung does for them. The Epic 4g and the Epic 4g touch were better than other carriers. Sprint was the only carrier that had a 4g version of the Galaxy S and the only carrier to have a 4g version of the Galaxy S2 with an actual Exynos processor. We'll see what's in store in less than a month.

I'm still on the fence, but I'm leaning towards the HTC Evo LTE. It's Sprint's version of the HTC One X, and feature wise, it's superior to all versions of the HTC One X feature wise. It's got removable storage and a larger battery. The Galaxy S3 looks great, but the processor was already in the Meizu MX. That's why many were disappointed that Samsung didn't opt to use their newer dual core A15 processor. I guess some people expected the Galaxy S3 to blow everything out of the water. In the end, much like Apple and the iPhone 4S, Samsung is a victim of their own hype.

Umm, if I remember correctly no it didn't. It was just a nice phone. It may have been an incremental improvement over others, but so is the SGS3.

Kinda think Samsung was the victim of expectations here. Nobody cared that much about the SGS2 yet, but by the SGS3 the SGS line had established itself as Android's flagship. People had just hyped up SGS3 too much.

Really dont get all the whining about phone's looks either. They all look the same to me. People are saying the One-X looks amazing and it doesn't look like anything special to me. I guess it's the same people who think the iPhone always looks stunning when all it is is a blocky rectangle like every other phone.

Sure I wanted some kind of ceramic awesomeness or something, but OTOH I'm not even sure what that would have looked like. It's just some vague concept.

And I'm not sure how the Galaxy S blew anything away either. I distinctly remember the Evo came out prior and had a larger screen, and every phone had a 1ghz CPU and 512 RAM. The Galaxy S just had S-Amoled, that's it. Well, Samsung still mostly has the monopoly on those (yes I know some other phones have them) so nothing's changed.

And that LG you're talking about, LG is pretty marginalized in the phone world they're just not very popular. Plus bottom line it's still an LCD, no matter how high quality is still kinda looks crap next to a Amoled (which is my problem with the one-x).

Basically I think Amoled is underrated and pentile is getting overblown at this point.

Almost none of us have seen either the HTC One X or the Galaxy S3 in person, so it's too early to call. With hat said, HTC's phone has been getting praised everywhere for having an amazing screen. I love Super AMOLED as much as the next guy, but the oversaturated colors aren't for everyone. Some people prefer LCD displays more subdued, accurate colors.

Aside from that, I disagree with you about Samsung's Galaxy line not setting the bar. When the Galaxy S was first released 2 years ago the Super AMOLED display simply blew everything out of the water. Also, with the exception of the iPhone 4's camera, the Galaxy S' 5 megapixel shooter bested nearly every other camera phone on the market. The same was true with the Hummingbird processor. Sure every high end phone ran at 1 GHz, but the Hummingbird was faster and had a superior PowerVR GPU. The same thing happened last year with the Galaxy S2. It was the fastest dual core phone on the market, thanks to the Exynos SoC and the Mali GPU . The 8 megapixel camera was renowned for its excellent image quality.

This does not appear to be happening with the Galaxy S3. It's a minor upgrade (aside from the Exynos), and the camera may prove to be inferior to HTCs offering with its superior lens, optics, and image processing. This is significant since both phones will more than likely sport the same Snapdragon S4 SoC. The EVO LTE is looking mighty appealing at this point. I'm still reserving judgment, but pentile displays from Samsung are a step backwards, since the Super AMOLED plus is vastly superior.

In Topic: GAF believes incest is okay between consenting adults

I can see that so many people defend incest. I personally think its morally wrong, and downright repulsive to see your sister or any relative in a sexual manner. But, to each his own, I guess. If its okay to fuck your mother, sister, etc, then where do we draw the line? I'm uninterested in hearing rhetorical arguments revolving around flawed logic like people doing it in certain countries and during certain periods of time (ie: centuries ago). People also burned women at the stake because they were "witches" and cracked people with migraine headaches skulls open because they were haunted by evil spirits.

I understand that adults make their own decisions, etc. Every degenerate that agrees with incest is entitled to his/her own opinion, and I'm entitled to mine. My opinion is that everyone who condones or agrees with incest is as wrong as two boys fucking. Again, apparently I'm in the minority, but that's my opinion.
