Following initial reports from tech blogs Fudzilla and SemiAccurate, our sources have confirmed that mass production of the system's GPU will indeed begin by the end of 2012 but will not, however, be based on AMD's 7000 series Southern Islands GPU. Instead, the processor will be derived from the 6000 series, which was introduced last year. More specifically, it will be akin to the Radeon HD 6670, which offers support for DirectX11, multidisplay output, 3D and 1080p HD output. The chip currently has a market price of upwards of $79.99.

I mean, I think it's noble that she wants to help people and everything, but it seems like an unnecessary risk especially for women. The organization has turned away from reports of rape and sexual harassment for years, and they can't guarantee you any safety for some of the shitholes they send you too. Not to mention you can't even pick where you want to serve and could end up in Africa where you're value is the same as a goat.

Has there been any notable change in the countries where PCVs have served? It seems like an organization that lets idealistic kids feel better about themselves for helping people while exposing them to shitty living conditions and dangers that aren't worth what they hope they can accomplish.
